Steve Walsh hosted an evening with Emile Heskey on Thursday 5th May at Poachers Brasserie. Emile kindly agreed to visit SportsPad prior to the event, with his shooting boots on he dispatched a number of penalties past a hapless Petr Cech! It was something of a struggle to drag Emile away from the simulator and get him to the dinner in time!

Emile was so impressed with the facilities that he preceded to book the simulator for an afternoon out with his family in the upcoming school holidays. We look forward to welcoming you back with the family Emile.

The day we took SportsPad to the King Power! On Sunday 24th April Leicester City hosted Swansea in a Premier League match, we had a mobile simulator situated outside the family stand for all fans to enjoy. Over 2000 people had a go at trying to score a penalty against Kasper Schmeichel at our virtual KP stadium.

Many were successful and we had a number of prize winners who all won a free visit to the SportsPad for themselves and friends.

Even Filbert the Fox stopped to have a go, after a couple of wild efforts he finally found the back of the net! Many thanks to LCFC for hosting us, we hope to see you again next season!

Kasabian frontman, Tom Meighan dropped into Walshy’s SportsPad to see what all the fuss was about prior to the venue opening in April and left (reluctantly) having successfully beaten a host of Premier League goalkeepers in the penalty challenge.

City fan Tom could barely believe his eyes as he was presented with an amazing fly-through of the stadium before lining up to smash the ball past a helpless Arsenal keeper.

Tom is pictured here with some of the founders of the SportsPad, Wayne North, Sam Waite, Christian Smith and Steve Walsh.

Saturday the 10th April saw the official launch of Walshy’s SportsPad. We held a private party for friends, family and colleagues who had helped with the launch of the exciting new venture. Guests enjoyed multiple glasses of champagne and plenty of time on the simulator.

The highlight of the evening most certainly being the Leicestershire county cricket team getting the better of Walshy’s Leicester legends team in a tense crossbar challenge!

The evening continued at Mobius Lounge on Braunstone Gate into the early hours of Sunday morning. Thanks to everyone that attended and has helped on the journey so far.

To follow!
